Anthony Francis Gately also known as Tony was born on 18th November 1881 the youngest of five siblings Mark, Michelle, Alan and Stephen to parents Margaret and Martin. A popular boy at school, Tony's favourite subjects were History, PE, and Woodwork. As a child and teenager Tony enjoyed playing football and displayed his more adventurous side rock climbing and sailing. He has supported Liverpool F.C since he was a child. One of Tony's most treasured memories is from when he was around 14 years of age and was walking through the streets of Dublin with his brother Stephen. They were having a snowball fight as the snow fell around them. Upon leaving school Tony's first job was as a floor manager in a clothing retail store. He left his hometown of Dublin for Edinburgh where he lived with his future wife Claire. In August 2005 Tony and Claire married and have three beautiful sons Josh, Adam and Harry Stephen. At present Tony still enjoys most sports including football, running, swimming and boxing. He also enjoys playing video games especially on the Xbox. Tony has a wide variety of musical influences from bands like Kings of Leon to the Script to artists like Michael Jackson and Garth Brooks. Attending the cinema is also a great love of Tony's, some of his favourite films being Troy, The Last Samurai, Taken and to the delight of most of his fans Twilight. As well as sharing the same favourite colour as his brother Stephen, being the colour red, it would appear Tony first realised he could sing when Louis Walsh mistook him for Stephen during a sound-check on Boyzone's tour. Tony has now decided to release his debut single as 'I have been given an opportunity fulfil a dream I have had for years and it is also a fitting tribute to my brother Stephen.
